severally make Oath and say And first this Deponent
Charles Bower< no role >
for himself saith that he did on Tuesday
the Sixth day of this instant January Serve the above
named Thomas Howlett< no role >
with a true Copy of the Notice
hereto annexed at the House of one Claston [..]
in Old Street Road
by tendring to the said Thomas

the said Notice who refused to receive the same
and on such refusal to this Deponent laid the said Notice
down on the Table where the said Thomas Howlett< no role >
then
was and at the same time explained to him the purport
there of And this Deponent John Howson< no role >
for himself
Saith that on the same Sixth day of [..] January and a very
short time after he had been so Served as aforesaid he applied
to this Deponent informing him of his having been so
Served and asked him this Deponent if he couldust but
Off such Tryal and whether he this Deponent could not
procure him a Witness to Swear that one of his material
Witnesses as out of the say and on such Affidavit
whether this Court would not putt of such Tryal or
used Words to that or the like effect but he this Deponent
declining to having anything to say to him on such a Business
they parted
