Mr Brooksbank reportedthat he had applied to the
Vestry Clerk
forto Inspect the Books of the said Parish in Order to
form his Return therefrom but the Vestry Clerk informed him that he
did not think himself Justified in doing it without taking the opn.
of the Vestry upon it. A Vestry was immediately called and Mr Battended
it when the Gentlemen present begged leave to decline leting him inspectgiving himthe
Books for that purpose and required his Authority for such request
