Sir

After the Conversation I had the honour of holding this
morning with Lord Stormont and yourself concerning the
state ofthe prisons New Prison at Clerkenwell and the
contrivances of the guard at that prisonplaceand at the House
of Correction,I justand the advice I received to apply
tothat andthat and to the field officer remaindg. at the Herse guards
I Judged it proper before I made the [..] heaton to
ham of the Keepers whether they had received anyinformn
intelligence concern & the return of the Guards - In [..]
near oftheir [..] the Keepers being absent from [..] upon diffrt. duties I could not
get them to attend and till a few momentsandwhen they informed
me that a detachment of the guards consisting of
the number which have lately done duty there took
were this afternoon at the Ten prisons

I have lost us time to make you acquaint
with the circumstance and by this favour that you will
