The Humble Petition of Henry Cox< no role >
one of the
Head boroughs
for that part of the Parish of St. Sepulchre
which is in the County of Middlesex
Sheweth
That Your Petitioner was on or about the fourth day of
May 1780 Sworn into the Office of Head borough
for the said part
of the said Parish for the Year then ensuing and duly Served the
same accordingly
That on the 24 day of April 1781 Matthew

of Cow Cross Street
within the said part of the said Parish
Brush maker
was appointed Head borough
in the Room of Your
Petitioner for the Year commencing from the fourth day of May
instant but for as much as he hath refused or declined to take upon
him and be Sworn into the said office Your Petitioner hath been
obliged to continue in and do the Duty thereof ever since
Your Petitioner therefore humbly Prays your
Worships that the said Matthew Boyle< no role >
may be
Summoned to appear before Your Worships to shew
Cause why he should not take upon him and be
Sworn into the Office of Headborough
according to
his Appointment And that Your Petitioner may
be discharged from the same And Your
