MIDDLESEX


At the GeneralSession of the Peace
of our Lord the King, holden in and for the County
of Middlesex , at Hicks=Hall , in Saint John-Street ,
(by adjournment) on Thursday - the twenty second
Day of February - in the twenty first Year of the
Reign of our Sovereign Lord GEORGE the Third, King of
Great Britain, Etc. Before Sir John Hawkins< no role > ; Knight ,

The Reverend Sir George Booth< no role > Baronet
William Mainwaring< no role > George Allcock< no role >
Esquires , and others their Fellows, Justices of our Said
Lord the King, assigned to keep the Peace in the County
aforesaid; and also to hear and determine divers Felonies,
Trespasses, and other Misdemeanours committed in the
same County

Whereas the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Isleworth
in the said County of Middlesex Did at the last General Quarter Session of the Peace
held for this County Exhibit their Petition and Appeal setting forth That by Virtue of
an Order or Pass Warrant under the hands and seals of James Clitherow< no role > and Stephen
Cole
< no role > Esquires two of his Majestys Justices of the Peace for the said County of Middlesex
(one whereof being of the Quorum) bearing [..] the fifth day of December [..] one
Edward Lewis< no role > in such order or Pass Warrant mentioned was removed from the parish of
Heston in the said County of Middlesex to the said parish of Isleworth as the last place
of the said Edward Lewis< no role > Lawfull Settlement whereby the Petitioners conceived themselves
aggrieved which said Appeal stood duly adjourned unto this day now upon hearing the
said Appeal and what hath been alledged by the respective Church wardens and
Overseers of the poor of the said Parishes their Counsel and Witnesses in and concerning the
premises It is Ordered that the said Appeal be and the same is hereby allowed and the
said Order or Pass Warrant of the said two Justices is hereby vacated and set aside
and It is further Ordered that the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the
parish of Isleworth do forthwith convey and deliver back the said Edward Lewis< no role > (together
with a copy of this order)unto the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the parish of
Heston or to some or one of them who are hereby required to receive and provide for the said
Edward Lewis< no role > until they can free themselves from the charge thereof by due course of Law
and It is further ordered that the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the Parish
of Heston do forthwith pay or cause to be paid unto the Churchwardens and Overseers of the
poor of the parish of Isleworth or to some or one of them the Sum of one pound seven
Shillings and six pence for their charges and expences in relieving and maintaining the said
Edward Lewis< no role > since his said removal.
