To the Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish
of St. Leonard, Shoreditch , in the County of Middlesex ,
and to the Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
Parish of Saint Katharine nea the
Tower in the County of Middlesex

WHEREAS Complaint hath been made unto Us,
two of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace , in and for
the County of Middlesex , (one whereof being of the Quorum)
by the Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
Said Parish of St. Leonard, Shoreditch , Middlesex , That Esther
Farmer Addey
< no role > widow and her three Children
lawful Issue Namely Elizabeth< no role > age do
Eighteen years who has not gained any
Settlement in her own righter John< no role > aged
Six years and upwards and Grace< no role > aged Three
years and upwards hand Come to Inhabit
is the parish of Saint Leonard Shoreditch
not having gained any legal Settlement their
and are become Chargeable to the same: We the said Justices
upon Examination of the Premises upon Oath, and other
Circumstances, do adjudge the Same to be true, and do also
adjudge the Place of the last legal Settlement of the said
Esther Farmer Addey widow and her
three Children is in the peace of Saint
Katherine near the Tower in the
County of Middlesex Essex Aforesaid

THESE are therefore in his Majesty's Name to require
you the Church-Wardens and Overseer of the Poor
of the Said Parish of St. Leonard, Shoreditch , Middlesex , on
Sight hereof, to remove and convey the Said Esther
Farmer Addey widow and their
Said three Children
from and out of your Said Parish of St. Leonard , unto the
Said Parish of Saint Katherine

and then deliver unto the Church-Wardens and Overseers
of the Poor there, or to Some or to one of them, together
with this our Order, or a true Copy hereof, who are hereby
required to receive and provide for them according to
Law.

Given under our Hands and Seals this Tenth
Day of January [..] 1781
