whereupon itwas Resolved unanimously
it appears unto this Court that Samuel
Newport
< no role > Gentleman Keeper of New prison
at Clerkenwell was guilty of personal
negligene in respect to the [..] custody
of William Mackenzie< no role > Joseph Caddy< no role > &
George Backington< no role > three prisoners escaped from out
of his prisonand But It appearing also unto this
[..] Court that the said three felonspersons were [..]
hended [..] hase been retaken andmoreare now
again in the Custody of the said Sleeper of New
Prison that the said Samuel Newport< no role > was
hath been very [..] in his servant of he the said their felons ever [..] been in greathazard ofdanger of [..] his Life in the
[..] an attempt to retake thesaid their persons
and hath been at a very considerable cap [..]
for their recaptionrecovery of the said three persons
Resolved that in consequence of the conduct
of Samuel Newpert in retaking thedoorsaid then felons
the court do not proceed to that unsure
which he would otherwise deserve,
