At the General Session of the Peace of our Lord the King holden in
and for the County of Middlesex at Hicks Hall in Saint John Street
by adjournment on Thursday the Seventh day of December in the
twenty first Year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord George the
third King of Great Britain Etc. Before the Reverend Sir George

Lord the King assigned to keep the Peace in the County afore-
said and also to hear and determine divers felonies Trespasses
and other misdemeanours committed in the same County.

Whereas Christopher Asquith< no role > hath at this present Session Exhibited
his Petition and appeal setting forth, That a certain Rate or Taxation for
the Relief of the Poor of the Hamlet of Poplar and Blackwall in the
Parish of Saint Dunstan Stebonheath otherwise Stepney in the County of
Middx was made and published on the 22d. day of October 1750 But that
George Young< no role > Clerk is omitted to be Charged in and by such Rate or
Taxation for a certain house and Premises in his occupation in the said
Hamlet That the Petitioner Apprehends himself Agrieved by the [..]
City of the said Rate for that John Perry< no role > and holding an [..]
and Premises of the Yearly Value of £550 are rated only [..]
by the said Rate and for that Robert Batson< no role > holding a house and Yard
and Land over the Way a Mould Loft and Smiths Shop of the Yearly
Value of £200 is rated only £7 in and by the said Rate and for that James
Mendone holding an House Yard and Premises of the Yearly Value of
£200 is rated only £5.8s. in and by the said Rate and for that Simon
Pomfret holding an House of the Yearly Value of £52..10s. is rated only
£1.7s.0d in and by the said Rate and for that James Poole< no role > holding an
House and Premises of the Yearly Value of £50 is rated only 19s.1½d in
And by the said Rate and that John Rogers< no role > holding an house of the
Yearly Value of 12s. is rated only 14s.3d in and by the sd. Rate and for that
William Tooley< no role > holding an house of the Yearly Value of £45 is rated
only £1.2s.6d in and by the said Rate and for that Benjamin Grainger< no role >
holding a house of the Yearly Value of £30. is rated only £1.1s.0d in and by
the said Rate and for that Edward Wood< no role > holding a House of the Yearly
Value of £30. is rated only 19s.1½d. in and by the said Rate and for that James
Tope holding an House of the Yearly Value of £30. is rated only 19s.1½d
and by the said Rate and for that John Higgs< no role > otherwise Higgis holding
an House of the Yearly Value of £30. is rated only 19s.1½d in and by
