born , in the said County, and to the Churchwardens and Over-
seers of the Poor of the Parish of Chirst Church in the
City of London

WHEREAS Complaint has been made by you the Overseers
of the Poor of said Liberty of Saffron-Hill, Hatton-Garden,
and Ely-Rents , unto whose Hands and Seals are hereunto set, two
of His Majesty's Justices of the Peace (whereof one is of the Quorum)
in and for the said County of Middlesex , That Ruth
Singleton

lately intruded herself into your said Liberty of Saffron-Hill,
Hatton-Garden [..] nd Ely-Rents , there to inhabit as a Parishioner con-
trary to the L [..] s relating to the Settlement of the Poor, and are there
likely to become Chargeable, if not timely prevented. AND
WHEREAS, [..] pon due Examination and Enquiry made into the Pre-
mises, on [..] th and other Circumstances it appears to us, and we ac-
cordingly Judge, That the said Ruth Single [..]
