To the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish
of St. Mary Whitechapel in the County of Middlesex , to con-
vey, and to the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Peace of
the Parish of [..] rid Bread Street in the city of London to release and obey.

WHEREAS Complaint hath been made unto
Us, whose Hands and Seals are hereunto set,
being two of His Majesty's Justices of the Peace , in
and for the County of Middlesex aforesaid, (one
whereof being of the Quorum) by the Churchwar-
dens or Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of St.
Mary Whitechapel , that Sarah Alford< no role > Widow of
Robert Allford< no role > Deceased and les Infant Child
Viz Sarah< no role > aged about Nine years have
lately come to inhabit in the said Parish of St. Mary
Whitechapel , not having gained any legal Settlement
there, nor produced any Certificate acknowledging
t h em to be Setttled elsewhere, and are likely to be-
come chargeable to the same: We, the said Justices,
upon Examination of the Premises upon Oath, and
other Circumstances, do adjudge the same to be true,
and do also adjudge the Place of the last legal Settle-
ment of the said
Sarah Alford< no role > and her said Child
to be in the said Parish of St.Mildred Bread
Street in the City of London
THESE are therefore, in His Majesty's Name, and
by Virtue of the statutes in that Behalf, to re-
quire you, on Sight hereof, to remove and convey the
said Sarah alford his said Child
from and out of your said parish of St. Mary White-
chapel , to the said Parish of St. Mildred Bread Street
in the City of London and them deliver to the Church-
wardens and Overseers of the Poor there, or to Some
or one of them. together with this our Order, or a
true Copy hereof, who are hereby required to receive
and provide for them
according to Law. Given under our Hands and Seals
this 15 Day of Septr. in the
Year of our Lord 177 8
