The voluntary Examination of Mary Jordan< no role >
a Rogue and Vagabond apprehended wandering
abroad and begging in the Parish of St. Mary
be Strand taken before me this 16th. day
of August 1769

Who being upon Oath voluntarily says that she is the Wife
of John Jordan< no role > a Hawker and Pedlar whom she left at Cambridge
last Friday, that the Settlement of the said John Jordan< no role > (as she has
been informed by him and verily believes) is in the Parish of
Froome in Somersetshire which Settlement he acquired by being
born there, that she has two Children liveing Vir. Mary Ann< no role >
aged about 23 years and John< no role > aged about 18 years which She
had by her former Husband Robert Steel< no role >
