In obedience to her Majesties Pleasure Signified by a
Lettr. from her Majesties most Honble: Privy Councell
dated the 18th: of March Last. Wee her Majesties Justices
of the Peace resideing in the Hundred of Spelchre
of the County of Middx : have made deligent Enquiry
after all Papests , reputed Papists, or other disaffected
Persons, and do not Know off or have been Informed
of any such in this Hundred Except two. Vizt: Mr.
Worwood who hath a Country house at Tuddington &
Mr. Porter who hath a Country house at Hampton
& are both reputed Papists Whereupon two of us
appointed to meet at Hampton in order to put the
Laws in Execution against them and sent Warrts:
to the respective Constables of Each of the said
Parishes to Summons the said Mr.Worwood and
Mr. Porter & accordingly the Constables went to
their respective houses & made returnes that
neither of them were come to their Country houses
but were at their Citty houses in Westminster
& that there were no horses nor Armes in their
houses in this Hundred. This Returne wee desire
the Clerke of the Peace to make Camonget others
to her Majesties Most Honble: Privy councell or to
his Grace the Custos Rotulora in Dated at Staines
the 9th. of aprill 1708.
