The humble Petition and
Appeal of the Churchwardens
& Overseers of the Poor of the
Parish of Saint George
Hanover Square in the Liberty
of Westminster and County
of Middlesex

Sheweth


That by Virtue of a Pass Warrant or Order under
the hands & seals of W. Blackbeiew & J. Girdler Esquires . two of his
Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the County of Middlesex whereof being
of the Quorum bearing Date the Ninth day of November 1778. Elizabeth Bates< no role >
Singlewoman , was removed from the Parish of Saint James at Clerkenwell
in the County of Middlesex to the Parish of Saint George Hanover Square
in the Liberty of Westminster in the County of Middlesex as the place of her
last legal. Settlement whereby your Petitioners think themselves aggrieved

Therefore, humbly pray this Court will please to
Appoint a time for hearing and determining the said Appeal, And that
All. Persons. Concerned may then attend And your Petitioners will pray Etc
