The Report of the Committee appointed
to take the Merits of a Petition from Mr Edward
Hall< no role >
Governor
of the House of Correction
at
Clerkenwell
into re Consideration and Report their
Opinion whether any and what Compensation
should be made to the said Edward Hall< no role >
for
the Services there in mentioned as also to enquire
into the profits of the said office of Government of the
said House of Correction
The Said Committee Report
That in pursuance of the Order of reference to them
made Vizt that the Petition of the said Edward Hall< no role >
be referred back
to the Committee appointed to take the Merits of the said Petition into
Consideration for their further Consideration and opinion whether any
and what Compensation should be made to the said Edward Hall< no role >
for the Services there in mentioned and to Esquire into the Profits
of the said office of Government of the said House of Correction having
taken into further Consideration the said petition and Examined
Mr Hall touching the profits of his office they do recommend it to
the Court to conform the allowance of Twenty five Pounds for annum
for the Two Years past ended on the County day of July Session
last as also the allowance of a Sallary of fifty Pounds per Annum
to Commence from the Sixteenth day of July last unto the said
Edward Hall< no role >
for his Trouble Care and Expence in Managing
the Convicts in his Custody being the Sums and allowances
mentioned in the former Report of this Committee
