MIDDLESEX .

AT the GeneralSession of the Peace
of our Lord the King, holden in and for the County
of Middlesex , at Hicks-Hall , in Saint John-Street ,
(by adjournmt) on Thursday the twenty third
Day of Mayin the sixteenth Year of the
Reign of our Sovereign Lord GEORGE the Third, King of
Great Britain, Etc. Before Sir John Hawkins< no role >
Knight John Sherwood< no role > David Wilmot< no role > George
Alcock
< no role > Esquires and others their Fellows Justices
of our said Lord the King assigned to keep the
peace in the County aforesaid and also to hear and
determine divers felonies Trespasses and other
misdemeanours committed in the same County

Whereas The Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the
parish of Ivinghoe in the County of Bucks Did at the last
General Quarter Session of the peace held for this County Exhibit
their Petition and Appeal setting forth That by an Order under the
Hands and Seals of William Rugge< no role > and William Timbrell< no role > Esquire
two of his Majesty's Justices of the peace for the City and Liberty of
Westminster (one whereof being of the Quorum) bearing date the
sixteenth day of February 1776 Harriot Lynch Lynch< no role > a female
Bastard Child born of the body of Elizabeth Harvey< no role > single woman
aged upwards of three Years and a Quarter was removed and
conveyed from the parish of Saint George Hanover Square in
the said Liberty of Westminster and County of Middlesex to
the said parish of Ivinghoe in the said County of Bucks as
the last legal settlement of the said Harriot Lynch Lynch
Whereby the Petitioners conceived themselves to be aggrieved
which said Appeal stood duly adjourned unto this day Now upon
hearing the said Appeal and what hath been alledged by the
respective Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the said parish
their Counsel and Witnesses in and concerning the premises It is
ordered that the said Appeal be and the same is hereby dismissed
and the said order of the said two Justices is hereby confirmed and
It is further ordered that the Churchwardens and Overseers of
the poor of the parish of Ivinghoe in the County of Bucks do
maintain and provide for the said Harriot Lynch Lynch and her
said Child until they can free themselves from the charge thereof
by due course of Law.
