John Jolly< no role > of Clare Market in the County of Middlesex Butcher [..]
of the Defendant in this Cause maketh Oath that the said Defendant [..]
April Session last Indicted for Assaulting the said Prosecutrix and this
Deponent saith that on the sixth Day of May last he and the said John
Jolly
< no role > the younger met and settled all Matters in Dispute between this
Deponent and his said Wife and the said John Jolly< no role > the Younger and his
said Wife and this Deponent and the said John Jolly< no role > the younger gave
and Executed to each other mutual General Releasex but through a Mistake
of the Person who was then employed to prepare the said Releases the said
Defendant and the said Prosecutrix were not named in such Releas [..]
And this Deponent saith that the said John Jolly< no role > the Younger and his said
Wife having soon after left their place of abode and gone into the
Country this Deponent was not able to get such Mistake rectified before
May Session last when this Deponents said Wife appeared and pleaded
to the said Indictment and entered into a Recognizance to Prosecute
her Traverse on the said Indictrnent in July Session following And this
Deponent saith that after the said May Session and before the said July
Session he made diligent Enquiry for the said John Jolly< no role > the younger
and his said Wife in Order to have served the Prosecutrix with Notice
of Trial for the said July Session but was not able to meet with them
or either of them And this Deponent saith that since the said July Session
he hath made diligent Enquiry for the said John Jolly< no role > the younger and
Elizabeth< no role > his Wife the said Prosecutrix in Order to have served them
with the Notice of Trial hereunto annexed but was not able to meet
with him or either of them And this Deponent saith that upon such Enquiry [..]
was Informed and which Information this Deponent verily believes to be
true that the said John Jolly< no role > the Younger and his Wife the said Prosecutrix were
gone to the Kingdom of Ireland And this Deponent verily believes that the said John
Jolly
< no role > the Younger and his said Wife the prosecutrix are now in the said
Kingdom of Ireland
