MIDDLESEX .


AT the General Quarter Session of the Peace
of our Lord the King, holden in and for the County
of Middlesex , at Hicks-Hall , in Saint John-Street ,
(by adjournment) on Thursday the twentieth
Day of Octoberin the fourteenthYear of the
Reign of our Sovereign Lord GEORGE the Third, King of
Great Britain, Etc.

Two Bills of George Smith< no role > Gentleman Governor of the House of
Correction at Tothill in the City and Liberty of Westminster
the one amounting to the Sum of twenty eight Pounds twelve Shillings
and one penny for money paid to the poor prisoners there at the rate of
are penny each per day and the other for Money paid to Vagrants committed
there after the same rate amounting to the Sum of one Pound one
Shilling and eleven pence which Bills amount in the whole to the
Sum of twenty nine Pounds fourteen Shillings being laid before
this County for payment And it appearing by a certificate under the
Hands of Sir John Fielding< no role > Knt and Sampson Wright< no role > Esquire two
of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the said City and Liberty
that they had caused the said Bill to be examined and further
Certifying that the said George Smith< no role > had made Oath before them
that the Charges in the said Bill are just and true It is Ordered that
Mr John Benson< no role > the County Treasurer do pay unto the said George
Smith
< no role > the said Sum of twenty nine Pounds fourteen Shillings and
that the receipt of the said George Smith< no role > together with this order
shall a sufficient discharge to the said Treasure for such payment.
