Middlesex


At the General [..] Session of the Peace of our
Lord the King holden for the County of Middlesex at Hicks-Hall
in Saint John Street in the said County (by adjournment) one
Thursday the Seventeenth day of February in the fourteenth
Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the thiroey
King of Great Britain Etc

Upon the Humble Petition of John Steele< no role > Contractor for the Smiths Work in the
Repair of New Prison at Clerkenwell in the said County It is Ordered the
Mr. John Benson< no role > the County Treasurer do pay unto the said John Steele< no role > the sum
of One Hundred & Fifty Pounds being the three Fourth parts of the sum of Two
hundred pounds work having been done by the said John Steele< no role > in the said Repair
to the full amount of the said sum of Two hundred Pounds according to the
Condition of his contract as appears by a Certificate under the Hand of Thomas
Rogers
< no role > the surveyor of the said Repair And that the Receipt of the said John
Steele
< no role > together with this Order shall be a sufficient discharge to the said Treasurer
for such payment
