Middlesex


At the General Session of the Peace of our Lord the King holden for the County
of Middlesex at Hicks Hall in Saint John Street in the said County (by
Adjournment (on Thursday the Ninth day of December in the fourteenth
Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Third King of Great Britain Etc.

Whereas the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Saint Paul
Shadwell in the County of Middlesex Have at this present Session Exhibited their Petition
and Appeal setting forth That by virtue of a Pass or Order of Removal under the Hands and
Seals of David Wilmot< no role > and Charles Digby< no role > Two of his Majesty's Justices of the peace
in and for the said County of Middlesex ( [..] whereof one being of the Quorum) bearing
date the second day of December 1773 one Jane Shevels< no role > Singlewoman was
Removed from the Parish of Saint John of Wapping in the County of Middlesex
aforesaid [..] to the said Parish of Saint Paul Shadwell as the peace of her last legal
Settlement Whereby the petitioners apprehended themselves aggrieved Whereupon
at the request of the said Petitioners It is Ordered that the Benefit of their said
Appeal be saved unto them and that the hearing and determining thereof be and the
same is hereby adjourned until the next General Quarter Session of the Peace to be
holden for this County And that on Notice hereof in the mean Time to be given to the
Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of Saint John of Wapping
they and all Persons concerned do attend the Court at Hicks-Hall aforesaid on
Thursday the Thirteenth day of January next at the Hour of Eight in the forenoon
of the same day to hear and abide the Judgment and Determination of the same
Court touching the said Appeal
