To the Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of
the Parish of Saint Margaret in
the City of Westminster and to the Church-
Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of
Cheddington in the County of Bucks

WHEREAS Complaint hath been made unto
Us, two of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace
acting in and for the [..] City and Liberty
of Westminster aforesaid (one whereof being of
the QUORUM) by the Church-Wardens and Overseers
of the Poor of the said Parish of Saint Margaret
That Ann Shillingford< no role > the
Widow of William Shilingford< no role > deceased with her four
Children by her said late Husband Vizt. Thomas< no role > aged
about Eighteen years, Jane< no role > aged about Thirteen Years
Mary< no role > aged about Nine Years and William< no role > aged means
four Years lately intruded, and
came into the said Parish of Saint Margaret
and are become chargeable to the same: We
the said Justices, upon Examination of the Premises
upon Oath, and other Circumstances, do adjudge the
same to be true, and do also adjudge the Place of the
last legal Settlement of the said Ann Shillingford and
her said four Children to be in the Parish of Cheddington
in the County of Bucks, neither of the said Children
having by any Act or means whatsoever acquired any legal
Settlement for themselves, himself or herself

THESE are therefore, in his Majesty's Name, to
require you, on Sight hereof, to remove and
convey the said Ann Shillingfors and her said four
Children
from and out of your said Parish of Saint Margaret
to the said Parish of Cheddington

and them deliver unto the Church-Wardens and
Overseers of the Poor there, or to some or one of them,
together with this our Order, or a true Copy hereof,
who are hereby required to receive and provide for
them according to Law. Given under out
Hands and Seals this 24th Day of May 1773.
