known a Single Instance where more than Two persons were appointed by the
Justices to be Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish in any one Year hitherto That is
regard the said six Justices first above named had on the said Seventeenth day of April
aforesaid duly appointed the said George Beck< no role > and William Collison< no role > to be Overseers
of the Poor of the said Parish as aforesaid The Petitioners were advised that the said
Nomination and Appointment of the said George Beck< no role > William Collison< no role > and Gilbert
Sheldon
< no role > on the first day of May aforesaid was a bad Appointment and therefore
said and by which Appointment the Petitioners thought themselves Aggrieved.

Whereupon and on Complaint on the part of the Respondents of want of due and
[..] ly Notice from the said Appallants of the day appointed for the hearing thereof and
on Motion of Counsel thereupon It Was Ordered by the Court that the hearing
and determining of the said Appeal be and the same was thereby adjourned until
[..] Monday the [..] Sixth day of September and that on Notice thereof in the
meantime to be given to the Respondents aforesaid they and all Persons Concern'd were
to Attend this Court at Hicks Hall aforesaid on this [..] Monday the Sixth day of
September at Eight of the Clock in the forenoon of the same day to hear and abide
the Judgement and Determination of the said Court touching the said Appeal Now
upon hearing of the said Appeal and what hath been Alledged on either Side by
the Appellants and Respondents and their Respective Counsel in
and concerning the Premises It is Ordered that the said Appeal
be and the same is hereby allowed and that the said maintain said Appointmentaforesaid
[..] of the first day of Maybebe and the same is hereby vacated and set aside.
