In April Session 1773

Richard Busby< no role > of Milk Alley in the parish of St
George in the East in the County of Middlesex aforesaid Gentle [..]
Defendant in this Cause maketh Oath and Saith That [..]
[..] last past Pleaded Not Guilty to the Indictment [..]
and found against Him in the April Session then last part at [..]
of the Prosecutirx above named And also Gave Bail to Traverse [..]
At the present Session of the peace Holden at Hicks Hall in and [..]
same County of Middlesex And this Deponent further Saith [..]
He is an Officer belonging to His Majesty's Customs and is at this [..]
Stationed on Board the Ship Charlotta Captain John Rogers< no role > from Rhode [..]
Island in North America Principally laden with Oyl and was laying in
the River of Thomas And this Deponent further Saith that on account
of such his Duty He was unable at the present Session of the peace
Holden at Hicks Hall in and for the same County of Middlesex to
Try his Traverse of the Indictment so found against Him as aforesaid
And this Deponent further Saith that being totally ignorant [..]
the time limitted by this Court for Defendants to give Notice of [..]
in, his Recognizances are become Forfeited for want of giving [..]
due Notice as this Deponent hath been credibly informed [..]
