17th. October 1769 And Allowed confirmed by and under the hands and Seals
of Chrisr. Scott< no role > & Charles Digby< no role > Esqrs. low of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace
for the said County on the 27th.. Octr. 1769 which sd.. rate was for three Months
at in the Pound being the second rate made in the Year Vizt.. from
Midsummer to Mickas, 1769 and Against which sd.. rate the said Lewis [..]

The above Appeal being brought on to be heard at the Quarter Session of the
Peace for the sd.. County of Middlesex held at Hicks hall on Thursday the 12th.. of
July 1770 The Court with consent of both parties referred the said Appeal to
be heard and determined by John Barnfather< no role > Esqr.. one of his Majestys
Justices of the Peace for the sd.. County and his determination to be made an
Order of Court

Accordingly the said John Barnfather< no role > having had all the said parties
before him and hearing the sd.. Appellant who waved every parts of his
Appeal but what related to the rating the before mentioned Premes
to the relief of the Poor & hearing his Witnesses to that part of his appeal and
the Respondents and their Witnesses in answer thereto and having also
a New of all the sd.. premises find that many of the sd.. Premisesare [..]
improparly described some omitted and others over rated doth therefore
describe adjudge the rates of all the said premises to be as follows

Wapping Street

Houses late Batleys now used as a Warehouse by the Appellants
and rated at £9.. a year5..-..-

House late Clarks now used as a warehous by the Appellant
and rated at £6.. a year reduced to5..-..-

House late Doughty's now rated at £10 a Year continued at
[..] 10 a year but being Empty & not used [..] appellant in
not liable at present to pay the Poors Rate8..-..-

Saunders Yard

Yard 180 Feet in Lenght on one side of which are 3 Large
Warehouses 2 Storys High with a Coach-house at the end Late
Camdens on the other side 2 Large Warehouses the whole
of which is used by the Appellant and rated at £47 a
Year reduced to44..-..-

Wapping Street

House and Yard where the Appellant Lives rated at
£28 a year continued at28..-..-

Cinnamom Lane

Yard and Warehouse now Occupied by the Appellt
