Sheweth
That by Indenture of Apprenticeship dated the 23d. day of
February 1768
Charles Chapman< no role >
with the consent of his Step
Mother bound himself Apprentice to your Petitioner for Seven Years.
That Your Petitioner received with him as an Apprentice
Fee the Sum of Ten Pounds and Ten Shillings.
That the said Charles Chapman< no role >
hath Six times absconded
from his Service and your Petitioner hath had him twice before
Majestrate
That the said Charles Chapman< no role >
hath abandened himself to
loose and disorderly Company, insomuch that he declares he would
rather Starve than serve out his Apprentiship
, and your Petitioner
finds it absolutely impossible to keep him in his Service
That such his behaviour hath induced his Mother and
Friends to withdraw their Friendship from time and they absolutely
refuse to provide him with any Cloaths or take any Notice whatsoever
of him.
Your Petitioner therefore humbly prays
your Worships would be pleased to discharges
