WHEREAS Complaint has been made unto us, two of
his Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the County of
Middlesex (one whereof being of the Quorum) by the
Church-wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish
of Hampstead in the said County,
That Charles White< no role > (run away) and his Son Philip
aged
< no role > about ten years are

lately come into the said Parish endeavouring to Settle
there, contrary to Law. And it appeareth unto us the
said Justices, and we do adjudge that he is likely
to become chargeable to the said Parish; and upon Exami-
nation of the Premises
taken upon Oath, it further appeareth unto us,
and we do likewise adjudge, that the Parish of St
Luke Middlex is the Place of the last legal
Settlement of the said Charles White< no role > and his Son-
Philip

These are therefore in his Majesty's Name to Charge and
Command the Church-wardens and Overseers of the Poor of
the said Parish of Hampstead
forthwith to remove and convey the said Philip White< no role >
from the said Parish of Hampstead
to the said Parish of St Luke Midx
and deliver Him to the Church-wardens and Overseers
of the Poor there, or to some or one of them, who are here-
by required to provide for Him according to Law. Given
under our Hands and Seals the twenty Eight Day of
Feburary1769

To the Church-wardens and Overseers of
the Poor of the respective Parishes of

Hampstead in the County of Middlesex ,
and St Luke Midx

and to all other Officers whom it may
concern.
