THE Examination of Mary Moore< no role >
a Rogue and Vagabond apprehended by William Gandle< no role >
in the Parish of Saint Mary le Strand in the City
and Liberty of Westminster and brought before me one
of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the City and
Liberty aforesaid. And taken before
me this 23d. Day of February
in the Year of our Lord 1769. This Examinant upon
her Oath voluntarily saith that to the best of her
Knowledge and Belief her last legal Settlement
was in the Parish of Lambeth in the County
of Surry for that she lived there until she was
4 or 5 years of Age and has been informed that
she was dropped and desorted in that Parish
when an Infant and does not know either her
Father or Mother, that she never lived as
a yearly hired Servant for one Year, or did
any other Act whereby to gain a Settlement in
any other Parish or Place
