Middlesex


To the Worshipfull his Majesty's Justices of the peace
for the County of Middlesex in their general
Quarter Session of the Peace at Hicks Hall
Assembled.

The Humble Petition and appeal of the
Church wardens and Overseers of the poor of the
parish of Saint Paul Covent Garden within the
Liberty of Westminster in the County of Middlesex

Sheweth


That by Virtue of a pass warrant or Order under
Hands and Seals of [..] The Right Honourable Thomas Harley< no role > .KnightLord Mayor
and Henry Banker< no role > Esquire two of his Majesty's Justices
of the Peace for the City of London and Liberties thereof
one being of the Quorum bearing Date the Twenty fourth
Day of February instant Michael Daniel< no role > Mary< no role > his wife
and their two Children (that is to Day) John< no role > aged three
Years and James< no role > aged Eight Months were removed from
the parish of Saint Giles without Cripplegate London to
the said parish of Saint Paul Covent Garden as the place
of their last legal Settlement Whereby your petitioners
conceive themselves to be aggrieved and against the
said pass warrant or Order do appeal to this Court.

Your Petitoners therefore in at humbly pray
that your worships will be pleased to order
that the Benefit of their said appeal be
saved unto them and that the hearing and
determining thereof be adjourned until
the next General Session of the peace
to be held for this County in [..]
notice thereof to the Churchwardens or
Overseers of the poor of the said parish
of Saint Giles without Cripplegate
London .

And your petitioners shall ever pray Etc.
