Edward Howie< no role > of Paratise Row Great Chelsea in the County of Middlesex
Esquire Maketh Oath and Saith that he this Deponent and his Wife Elizabeth Hoare< no role >
now do and for with time past have Lodged with Elizabeth Mann< no role > and her fister
Martha Mann< no role > in Paratise Row aforesaid and that for some time last past this
Deponents said Wife hath been Extremely Ill and in a very Week and Infirm State
and Obliged to keep her Bed, during a very great part of which time the said Elizabeth
and Martha Mann have made or Caused to be made great norses and Disturbances
in the said House which this Deponent Expressly says [..] he verily believes have a
great and Immediate Tendeney to Endanger her life and this Deponent Saith that
being peacfull that the Cruel Treatment and behaviour of the said Elizabeth and
Martha Mann< no role > would Occasion the Death of this Deponent's said Wife this
Deponent did on or about the Fourteenth day of April last as this Deponent recollects
apply to Sir John Fielding< no role > Knight one of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace and Informed
him on Oath of the Cruel Treatment of the said Elizabeth and Martha Mann< no role > towards this
Deponent's said Wife whose life this Deponent verily believed would be greatly Endangeed
therely whereupon the said Sir John Fielding< no role > made out this Summons requiring the said
Elizabeth and Martha Mann< no role > to appear before him which Summons when served the
said Elizabeth and Martha Mann< no role > having totally disregarded the said Sir John
Fielding thereupon Granted his Warrant for the apprehending and bringing them before
him when upon heaving the parties and the matters Complained of the said Elizabeth and
Martha Mann< no role > were Obliged to Enter into a Recognizance for their personally appearing
at the then next General Sessions of the peace to be holden for the County of Middlesex
at Hick's Hall and this Deponent says that his said Wife is still Confined to her Bed
and in a very Infirm and Dangerous State of Health and that the said Elizabeth and
Martha Mann< no role > have since they Entered into the said Recognizances made several great
Disturbance which from every greatly affected the Rest and Quiet of this Deponent
said Wife and if Continued this Deponent in his Cow [..] he have might Occasion
her Death, and this Deponent saith that Doctor Forbes of he Isaac aforesaid who till his
late Illngss hath Constantly attended this Deponent said Wife three Ill and confirned to
his House in so much that the Deponent saith cannot have the benefit of his
Test mory which this Deponent apprehends would he very motenal to be laid he fore
the grand Jury
