For an Assault

Robert Morgan< no role > of Pear Peal Lane in the Parish of Saint
Andrew Holborn in the County of Middlesex Gentleman, maketh
Oath, that the this Deponent on the second day of December instant
did deliver to Mr. Gosswell (who acts as Attorney for the Prosecutrix
in the above Prosecution (at his Apartment in Ellis to Court
in the Old Baily London to true Copy of the Notice following
subscribed by the Defendants William Fowler and Mary his
Wife with their own Names of their own hand writing, which
his Deponent saw themselves [..] (Vizt) Middlesex She
King against William Fowler< no role > and Mary his Wife at the
Prosecution of Sarah the Wife of Soloman Benedicks< no role > for an
Assault Mr. Sarah Benedicks< no role > Take Notice that
we will Appear on Tuesday the Eighth Day of December
Instant at the General Session of the Peace to be holden by
Adjournment at Hicks Hall in Saint Johns's Street in and
for the County of Middlesex at Eight of the Clock in the
Fore Most of the same Day and then and there Try our
Traverse on the Indictment by you Prefemed against us
for an Assault Dated from as this 2d: Day of December
1767 William Fowler< no role > Mary Fowler< no role > To Mr: Sarah
Benedicks the above Prosecutrix or to Mr. Gosswell her
Attorney ThosWitness Robt Morgan< no role > And [..] Deponent
garther saith that the said Mr. Gosswell at the Fine of the delivery
of such Notice to him Acknowledged he was the Attorney acting
for the Prosecutrix and accepted the same and sayed they
should have it immediately or to that Effect And this Deponent
farther maketh Oath that a little before the Time of such
delivery of such Notice to the said Mr: Gosswell the said
William Fowler< no role > and Mary his Wife Informed this Deponent
(and this Deponent verily believes the same to be true) that
they could not find out the above Prosecutrix or discover where
she Lived or resided. Nor could this Deponent by any means
that he knew of find out the said Prosecutrix or where she resided
untill Saturday the Fifth Day of December Instant when this
Deponent went to the said Prosecutrix at her Lodging in an
