To the Worshipfull His Majestys Justices of the
Peace for the County of Middlesex in their General Quarter
Session assembled.

The Humble Petition and Appeal of Thomas Munday< no role >

That your Petitioner is an Inhabitant and Householder in the
Parish of Saint Aldgate in the County of Middlesex and as-
such rated and charged to the Relief of the Poor of the said Parish

That by a Rate or Assessment made for the Relief of the Poor of the said-
Parish on or about the twenty sixth day of March last your Petitioner is charged
One pound four shillings towards the imediate relief of the Poor of the said
Parish which your Petitioner apprehends greatly exceeds in Proportion what many
other of the Inhabitants of the said Parish are charged by the said Rate and some
Inhabitants of the said Parish who ought to have been charged by the said Rate
are not charged thereby and that the said Rate is unequal and excessive

That your Petitioner is as he conceives aggrieved by the said Rate or
Assessment and doth appeal therefrom and prays such Relief as to the Court
shall seem just and that a day may be appointed for hearing the Appeal
and that the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish way
attend and produce the said Rate or Assessment at the Hearing thereof
