At the General Session of the Peace of our Lord the King holden for the
County of Middlesex at Hicks Hall in Saint John Street in the said
County on Monday the Seventeenth day of February in the Sixth year of
the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Third King of Great Britain
Etc Before John Hawkins< no role > Benjamin Cowley< no role > Bartholomew Hammond< no role >
James Esdaill< no role > Esquires and others their Fellows Justices of our said Lord the
King Assigned to keep the peace in the County aforesaid and also to hear
and Determine divers Felonies Trespasses and other Misdemeanours
committed in the same County

Whereas the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of
Kensington in the County of Middlesex Did at the last General Quarter Session
of the Peace held for the said County of Middlesex in the Month of January
last Exhibit their Petition and Appeal Settingforth That by an Order or Pass
Warrant under the hands and Seals of William Mantle< no role > and John Upton< no role > Esquires
Two of his Majestys Justices of the Peace for the City and Liberty of Westminster
bearing date the Thirtieth day of December 1765. Anne Chellnes< no role > singlewoman
was Removed from the Parish of Saint George Hanover Square in the said
Liberty of Westminster in the said County of Middlesex to the said Parish of
Kensington as the place of her last legal Settlement Whereby the Petitioners
conceived themselves to be Aggrieved Which said Appeal was duly Adjourned
unto this day New upon hearing of the said Appeal in the presence and
hearing of the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of
Saint George Hanover Square and they consenting by their Council to the
Allowing of the said Appeal It is Ordered that the said Appeal be and the same
is hereby allowed And the said Order or pass Warrant of the said Two Justices is
hereby Quashed and Vacated And it is further Ordered that the Churchwardens
and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of Kensington or some or one of them
Do forthwith Convey and Deliver back the said Anne Chellnes (together with a
Copy of this Order) unto the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said
Parish of Saint George Hanover Square or to some or one of them who are hereby required to
receive and Provide for the said Anne Chellnes until they can Free
themselves from the charge thereof by due course of law.
