Middlesex


Whereas by Indentures of Apprenticeship bearing date on or about the
Twenty ninth day of November in the year of our Lord One thousand Seven
Hundred and Sixty three Henry William Fear< no role > one of the Poor Boys of the
Charity School of Saint Giles without Cripple gate in the City of London
did put himself Apprentice to Douglas Wier< no role > of Great Swan Alley Goswell
Street in the Parish of Saint James Clerkenwell Watchmaker for the
Term of Seven Years from the date thereof the said Master finding and
Providing unto the said Apprentice meat Drink Lodging and all Shoe
leather And Whereas the said Apprentice hath this day made Complaint
unto Two of his Majestys Justices of the Peace for the County of
Middlesex that his said Master had unlawfully beat him and Turned
him out of Door's and refused to provide for him according to the
Covenant made in the said Indenture of Apprentice ship Whereupon
the said Douglas Wier< no role > the Master having been duly Summond to Answer
the Complaint of his said Apprentice And we being now here Attended by
the parties and their friend and Witnesses And upon hearing and duly
considering what had been alledged on either side by and on behalf of the
Parties and finding the said Complaint to be true Do as far as in us her and in pursuance of the Statute in
such Case lately made and provided Absolutely discharge the said
Henry William Fear< no role > from his said Apprenticeship anything in the said
Indenture of Apprenticeship contained to the contrary there of notwithstanding
In Testimony whereof We have hereunto set our hands and Seals at
Hicks Hall the Thirtieth day of April in the year of our Lord One
Thousand Seven hundred and Sixty Five
