To the Constable of the Parish of St. James Clerkenwell

Whereas complaint in writing on Oath hath been this day made before us two
of his Majesties Justices of the Peace for the County of Middx at our Special Sessions for the
Amendment of the Highways holden at Hicks Hall in Saint John Street by Benjn.

< no role > Surveyor of the Highways of the Parish aforesaid that the several Persons
named in the list hereunto annexed being severally Householders or Cottagers in
the said Parish were duly Sumon'd by him to work and Labour by themselves
or one Suffict. Labourer each on a certain day lately passed in the amendment
of the Highways in the Parish aforesaid (to witt) on that Part of the said Parish
called the upper side But that they severally neglected and made deffault And
have also neglected to pay or contribute towards the Charges thereof in him of
such Labourer These are therefore in his Majesties name forth with to Sumon
them and every of them to appear Personally before us and others our Fellows.
Justices at our Special Sessions to be holden at Hicks Hall aforesd. one Tuesday.
next at Eleven o.Clock in the forenoon to answer the Premisses And be you
then and there in your Proper Person to Certify in what manner you shall
have executed this Comand Given under our Hands and Seals the 30th.
