At the General Quarter Session of the Peace of our Lord the Kings
holden for the County of Middlesex at Hicks Hall in Saint John Street
in the said County (by Adjournment) on Saturday the Fourteenth day of
January 1764 in the Fourth year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George
the Third King of Great Britain Etc

Whereas the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Saint
Giles without Cripplegate London Have Exhibited their Petition and Appeal to this
Court Setingforth That by Virtue of Warrant or Order under the hands and Seals
of Benjamin Cowley< no role > and James Esdaile< no role > Esquires two of his Majestys Justices of
the Peace for the County of Middlesex (one whereof being of the Quorum,)
bearing date the Sixth day of January 1764. Elizabeth Allen< no role > Singlewoman
was removed to the Parish of Saint Giles Cripplegate in the City of London ,
as the place of her last legal Settlement Whereby the Petitioners conceived
themselves to be aggrieved Whereupon at the Request of the said Petitioners
It is Ordered that the benefit of their said Appeal be saved unto them And that the
hearing and Determining thereof be and the same is hereby Adjourned until the
next General Session of the Peace to be holden for this County And that the
Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of Saint Luke in the
County of Middlesex on Notice hereof to be given to them in the mean time and all
other Persons concerned do Attend the Court at Hicks Hall aforesaid on Tuesday
the Twenty first day of February next at Nine of the Clock in the Forenoon (at
which time and place the said Session willl be holden by Adjournment as it is
Expected) to hear and abide the Judgment and Determination of the said Court
touching the said Appeal.
