Ordered 23d Apr 1718. for the Reasons therein mention'd that no
Clerk to any of the Justices of the Peace for this County shall Sollicite
for any Person indicted or to be indicted or any other Deft.
at any Genl or Quarter Sessions of the Peace to be held for
this County & This Order was repeated 21. May 1724.

Order'd 7 July 1718. for the reason's therein that no Traverse
be tried after the End of the first 3 Days of the Sessions
Unless in some special Case where the Governmt. is concerned
or where any Prisoner shall lye in Custody.

Ordered 6 Dec 1718. for the reasons therein that all
Clerks to Justices of the Peace of this County do keep
books & therein make fair Entries of the Christian &
Sir names & Places of abode of every Person convicted before
such Justices for any Offence for which any Money is
forfeited to the use of the Poor and time when Convicted
& for what Offence & to what Parish or Place the same
belongs, & of the whole sum forfeited & by whom reced whether
by the Justice or Clerk & to whom pd. over & when And
transmit an accot. thereof to Petty Sessions when required
by the Justices.

Order'd 5 dec 1720 that no Confession of any Indictment be
without leave taken nor, other special Matter transacted in Court in an
afternoon without leave of the Chairman.
