Quarter Session of the Peace for the County of Middlesex Assembled

The Humble Petition of James Hastings< no role >

Sheweth


That Your Petitioner was this day Tried along with one
Vaudecast upon an Indictment for an assault and forceable on
and that Your Petitioner was Convicted for an Assault only and
Committed to Bridewell for one Month

That Your Petitioner is Sorry for his Imprudence in the
affair but does beg leave to assure Your Worships that his only
Motive to give what due assistance he could to a Constable that was
calling out Murder not knowing any thing of the Nature or
Meaning of a Supersedeas

That Your Petitioner as a Man of a good and
peaceable Disposition and for the reasons above
mentioned doth for the sake of his Wife and great
famely most Humbly implore that Your Worships
will be pleased to Commisserate his Case and order
such Metigation of his Sentance as to Your Worships
it shall seem most meet

And Your Petitioner will ever
Pray Etc
