5. s. Murtherers and Felons to be Imprisoned in the Said Common Goals and
not elsewhere and Sherif to have the Keeping and allowed in his Account for repairs
after once made.
6. S. Provided that this Act be not hurtfull or Prejudicial to any Person
or Persons having any Common Goal by Inhelitance for Term of lift or for
years but that they Shall have and Enjoy their Said Goals and the Profits Fees
and Commodities of the Same as they had a Right before this Act
This Act Seems to treat only of Prisons for Criminals

As to the Second Sort belonging to provide Persons or Corporations there
have been Several Restrictions and Savings in Acts of Parliament But they
have the Same Priviledges as other Common County Goals and others during
Pleasure without any Rent
As to the Third Sort Vizt. Houses of Correction they had their Common Common

Which Recites that all parts of the Realm by Presently with Rogues Vagabond
and Sturdy Beggars Exceedingly pestred by many whereof daily happeneth hereby
Murders Thefts and other great outrages't was eneacted that Presons above 14 years
found begging Should be apprehended and comitted to the Goal of the
County and Whipped and thier Yars bored, and gives a Description of Rogues-
Vagabonds and Sturdy Beggars
Impotent Persons Shall be Appointed to Work by the Overseers of the Peace
or Shall be Whipped and Stocked for first Refusal and Dumed Vagabonds for
Second

Shall by their directions in such Convenient place and Places in their Shires Place
