To the Worshipfull Thomas Lane< no role > Esquire and the rest of
his Majestys Justices of the Peace for the County of Middlesex
at their General Session of the peace held at Hick's Hall
is and for the said County

The Humble Petition of George Arthur May< no role > Son of George

< no role > late of Wapping in the County of Middlesex
Ship Wright deceased

Sheweth


That your Petitioner in and by certains. Indentures of a
Apprentiship bearing date on a about the Twentieth Day of August
which was is the Year of our Lord one Thousand Seven hundred and
fifty seven was bound Apprentice to William Bagley< no role > of Batwins-
Square is Grass Inn Lane is the County of Middlesex Cabinet
maker to learn his Art and with him after the Manner of an
apprentice to serve from the Day of the Date of the said Indentures
unto the full End and Term of Seven Years And by the said Indentures
the said William Bagley< no role > is Consideration of Ten Pounds to him then
paid did not only Covenant to teach your Petitioner the Art of a
Cabinet maker but also find and provide for your Petitioner
sufficient Meat Drink Washing and Lodging during the said Term

That your Petitioner entred into the service of the said William
Bagley
< no role > and faith fully served him as his Apprentice under that Indenture
to the twice of the said William Bagley< no role > 's going away as after mentioned

That the said William Bagley< no role > did not during the since your
Petitioner so served him find your Petitioner with sufficient
Washing as he ought to have done according to his covenant
but on the Contrary the said William Bagley< no role > 's wife lost or
made a was with several of your Petitioner Linnen and other
necessarys delivered to be washed not with standing your
Petitioner persevered is faithfully is charging his Duty as an
Apprentice untill and about the Eighteenth Day of March
last when the said William Bagley< no role > went from his dwelling
house and totally dis appeared whereby your Petitioner was
obliged to go home to his Parents.

Your Petitioner therefore humbly prays your Worships
to order him to be discharged from the said
Indenture whereby he is so bound to the said William
Bagley
< no role > as aforesaid A that your Worships will
be pleased to make such other Order as to your
Shall Seem meet

And your Petitioner Shall pray Etc.
