Assault

to witt William Parkes< no role > of the Parish of Saint Dimstan Stepney in the
County of Middlesex Ironmonger maketh Oath and saith that Titus Salter< no role >
the Defendant in this Cause at the time the Bill of Indictment in this Cause
was preferred against him was Master or Comandor of the Ship Nathaniel
which in or about the month of August One thousand seven hundred and
fifty seven was hired into his Majesties Service as a Transport to carry
Forces abroad and then to proceed to Pistataway in New England And
this Deponent saith that the said Defendent soon after set sail from
the Port of London on the said intended Voyage & was then expected to
return to the said Port of London in or about the month of October last
past But this Deponent further saith he hath received Advice by some
Ships lately arrived from Pistataway aforesaid and believes it to be
true that the said Defendant Titus Salter< no role > is now building a new Ship
at Pistataway aforesaid of which when launched he is to have the
Comand and to proceed from them to some part of the West Indies
there to take in a Cargo of Sugars and other Goods for the Port of
London aforesaid, By reason whereof and of the Season proper for
taking in such Cargo the said Titus Salter< no role > is not expeited to return to
England before the month of September or October next about which
time as this Deponent is informed and believes the said Titus Salter< no role >
will return and not before
