At the General Quarter Session of the peace of our Sovereign
Lord [..] the King holden at Hicks Hall in St. John Street
in and for the County of Middx By Adjournment on Thursday
the Twenty First day of April in the Thirtieth year of the Reign
of our Sovereign Lord George the Second King of Great Britain Etc.

Whereas by an Act of parliament in the Seventeenth
year of his present Majesty's Reign Commonly called the
Vagrant Act among other things It is Enacted That all
persons going about as Patent Gatherers or Gatherers of Alms
under Pretence of loss by Fire or other Casualty or as Collectors for
prisons Goals or Hospitals and all persons wandering abroad and
Lodging in Alehouse Barns outhouses or in the open Air not
giving a good account of themselves and all other persons
wandering abroad and begging shall be deemed Rogues and
Vagabonds within the true intent and meaning of the said
Act and all persons who after having been punished as
Rogues and Vagabonds and Discharged Shall again Committ
any of the said Offences shall be Deemed Incorrigible Rogues

That when any Rogues or Vagabonds are
Apprehended and brought before any Justice such Justice is
required to order all Such persons to be publickly whipt by the
Constable or to send such offenders to the House of Correction until
the next Sessions or lesser time and if the Justices at Such Sessions
