Surgeon. That on Wednesday the first instant
between 2 & 3 in the afternoon Mr. Andrew
William
< no role > for came to the Witness immediately to
come to Mr. Smiths the Carpenters in Gravel Lane
for Joseph Oliphant< no role > had got an Accident, That he
immediately came & found the Deced Sitting on
the Ground Supported by two Workmen. That Mr.
Abrm. Toulmin< no role > a Surgeon was there. That he found
the Deced Dead & that all Circulation was Stop'd
That he the Inquired how he came by his Death
& was told his Mistress & he had had some Words
That findias some Blood upon the All side of his Shirt
he inquired where that came from & upon searching
the Body he found a small curv'd Wound [..] abt
3 Inches below the left [..] That it peaetrates upwds.
obliguely into the Cavity of the Breast & that he
Believes it Enter'd the left Ventricle of the Heart
& Believes the Wound to be the immediate Cause
of his Death. That upon inquiriey wth. What
instrumt. it was done with [..] could not be inform'd
That looking abt. he found the stock & Vice or Spoon
Bit low produced on a Bench near where the Deced
was at Work. That the Instrumt. had been wiss'd
on the outside but there was Blood on the inside
[..] quite Day That he Believes the Instrumt. to be the
Cause of his Death

Surgeon Confirms Mr Tarpins Evidence but was not
Prsent at the findeay the Instrumt. & can Say nothing
as to the Blood
