The Informacon of Henry Simons< no role > taken
upon Oath the 5th. Sept. 1751 [..] before
Richard Chamberlain< no role > Esqr . one of His Majesty's
Justices of the pea [..] for ye County of Middx
The Informant sayth the on this - day
from Weeks last past he arrived at Harwich
from Holland but in what Ship or who
was the Capt. thereof he dos not Know
but sith that on such his arrival in
England he lodged in a House at Harwich
frequented by Jews with a hebrew
Inscription upon the Sign intimating that
this is ye. house where the Jews lodge
but saith by, do's not know the Landladys
name or ye Sign of the Inn & beleives she talks no other
language then English and further sayth
that on such his Arrival he was searcht by
some of the Head officers of the Customs
& upon finding nothing but money in ti
Belt which they did not Empty on other
Jews abt him saying there was noting but
money its it they returned it him again
& saith that after one nights stay at H [..]
he walkt on foot to Colchester in Company
with another Jew whose name is Israel where
they stayed the Sabbath & saith that he Came
