To the Right Worshipfull his Majesty's Justices
Of the peace for the County of Middlesex in their
General Quarter Sessions of the peace Holden for
the said County at Hicks Hall Assembled.

The Humble Petition and Appeal of the Churchwardens
and Overseers of the poor of the Parish of Kensington
in the said County

Sheweth


That by Virtue of Pass Warrant or Order Under the
Hands and Seals of Thomas Ellys < no role > and Peter Elers< no role > Esquires
Two of his Majestys Justices of the peace for the County of Middlesex
aforesaid (One whereof being of the Quorum) Bearing Date the
Fourth day of April last past Alice Mason< no role > in the sd. order called the Wife of Dennis
Mason
< no role > (who is Absconded and left her) And their three Children
(that is to say) Dennis< no role > Aged near Six Years Hester aged about
three Years and Elizabeth< no role > an Infant Aged about three Months
were Removed and Conveyed from the parish of Chelsea
in the said County to the said Parish of Kensington as the
place of their last Legall Settlement whereby Your Petitioners
Conceive themselves to be Aggrieved

Therefore they Humbly Appeal to Your Worships
Against the said Pass warrant or Order and the Judgment of the said two Justices of the
Peace And pray that Your Worships will be pleased
to Appoint Some Day in the Next General Session
to Hear and Determine the Matter of the said Appeal
In Regard the persons whom Your Petitioners will be
Obliged to produce As Witnesses Upon the Hearing
of the said Appeal are now Many Miles distant
and Cannot be produced by Your Petitioners Before
Your Worships at this present General Quarter
