The Information and Examination of Mary
Clark
< no role > of the Parish of St Paul Shadwell in the
said County Taken before me one of his Majestys
Justices of the Peace for the said County This Twenty
Third Day of February Anno Dorn: 1748

This Examination on her Oath Deposeth and Saith That
last Thursday night being the Sixteenth instant , about Seven
o Clock She was Standing at George Warren< no role > her Master's Door
in upper Shadwell Mary Carrington< no role > and Jane Brandsile< no role > came
to her and the said Jane Brandsile askt her the Dept. for a Dram;
to which this Examinant made answer, that it was not in her
Power, whereupon the Said Mary Carrington< no role > askt this Deponent if the
could not get something out unknown to her Mrs. and then this Dept.
ment into the house and did feloniously Steal out of the Same
one linnen Gown one Sheet a Table Cloth and an Apron the
properly of the said George Warran and gave them to the said Jane
Brandaile and soon after She the Depont. event out to them the
said Brandsile & Carrington and pawn'd the Gown in New Graod [..]
and the Sheet in Rastcliff high way and the said Examinant further [..]
maketh Oath that the said Jane Brandaile carried away the Sheet
and Appon and she the Dept. has not seen anything Further of
them Since And this Examinant further on her oath Saith
That both the said Jane Brandsile & Mary Carrington< no role > were
accessary to her stealing the above mention things as wall in
advising her and setting her on, Before, as in Recieving
them after they were Stoln.
