Henry Collop< no role > the Defendant in this Cause maketh Oath That James Carlisle< no role >
of the Parish of Saint Paul Covent Garden in the County of Middlesex
Taylor is a material Witness in this Cause for the Deft. without whose
Evidence this Deft. is advised he can not safely proceed to the Tryall of this
Cause, and this Deponent saith that the said James Carlisle< no role > is sick
and weak of body from a Dangerous Wound he received lately with a
Naked Sword as this Deponent is Informed, & verily believes, and
is not able to attend without danger of his Life.

Sworn the tenth day of
October 1748 in Court.
