of the parish of Aynoe on the Hill in the County of Northampton Salesman and the said Elizabeth
Nicholls

Conspracy the said ninth Day of November in the year aforesaid at Kensington aforesaid in
the said County of Middx did go before one William Morice< no role > Esqr . then one of the said Justices of
the said Lord the King Assigned to keep the peace of the said Lord the King in the said County of
Middx and also to hear and determine diverse Felonys Trespasses and other Misdemeanors
committed in the County last aforesaid and the said Edward Bygrave< no role > then and there in the presence
and with the Knowledge and privity of the said Elizabeth Nicholls< no role > This name instance is in set 1683. and in pursuance of the said
Combination and Conspiracy (the said Edward Bygrave< no role > then and there personating the said John
Spurce
< no role > ) before the said William Morice (the said William Morice then and long before being one
of the Justices of the said Lord the King Assigned to keep the peace of the said Lord the King in the
County of Middx and also to hear and determine diverse Felonys Trespasses and other Misdemeanor
committed in the said County of Middx and having sufficient authority to administer an Oath
to the said Edward Bygrave< no role > in that behalf) did then in the said parish of Kensington
voluntarily falsely and malitiously upon his Corporal Oath depose swear and in, writing affirm
that a person then in custody in his Majesty's Goal of Newgate in the County of Middx who went
by the Name of William Franklyn< no role > and by the Nickname of Rusty Dick (meaning the said
William Frankland< no role > who was then in Custody in the said Goal) did on or about the twentieth day
of October which was in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and thirty six Attack him
(meaning him the said Edward Bygrave< no role > who then personated the said John Spurce) on the
Highway as he (meaning himself the said Edward Bygrave< no role > then personating the said John
Spurce) was travelling between Fslip and Weatley in Oxfordshire that he (meaning the said
