At the General Quarter Session of the peace of our sovereign
Lord the King holden for the County of Middx at Hicks hall in
Saint John Street in the County aforesaid by adjornment on
Friday the fourteenth day of October in the eleventh year of the
reign of our sovereign Lord George the second King of Great
Britain Etc before John Martin< no role > Alexander Garrett< no role > Anthony
Chamberlain
< no role > John Poulson< no role > Esquires & other their Fellows Justices
of our said Lord the King assigned to keep the peace in the
County aforesaid and also to heare & determine divers
felonys trespasses & other misdeeds committed in the sd. County,

Upon hearing of the appeal of the Churchwardens & Overseers
of the poor of the parish of St. James within the Liberty of
Westminster in this County against an Order Under the hands and
seals of Anthony Wroth< no role > & William Booth< no role > Esquires two [..] of his
Majestys Justices of the peace (whereof one is of the Quorum) for
the County aforesaid bearing date the sixth day of October
instant Whereby Sarah Jones< no role > wife of John Jones< no role > was removed
from the parish of St. Luke in this County to the said parish of
St. James as the last legal place of her Settlement, And upon
hearing of what was alledged by Councel for the Churchwardn.
& Overseers of the poor of the said parish of St. James This Court
by consent of Mr. Theed of Councel for the Churchwardens and
Overseers of the poor of the said parish of St. Luke doth
allow of the said appeal, And doth vacate & discharge the
aforesaid Order of the said two Justices of the peace, and the
same in hereby vacated & discharged accordingly, And this
Court doth Order that the Overseers of the poor of the said parish
of St. James do forthwith remvoe & convey the said Sarah
Jones
< no role > from their said parish to the Said parish of St. Luke , and
deliver her to the Churchwardens & Overseers of the poor of
the said parish of St. Luke or one of them with a copy of this
Order, who are hereby required to receive the said Sarah
Jones
< no role > into their care, and to provide for her as for other
poor at the charge of the Inhabitants of the said parish of
St. Luke untill they can free themselves form the charge
thereof by due course of Law,
