To the Surveyors of the Highways in the
Parish of St. Giles in the fields in the County
of Middlesex

By Order of the Trustees for putting Act of Parliament
touching the repair of the highways leading from the stones and
towards Highgate Gate house & Hampstead in execution the Reads
in the said Parish being part of the said highways I do hereby
give you notice that the said Trustees do intend to move by Council
his Maties Justices of the peace for the County of Middx to be
assembled at the General Quarter Session of the peace to be holden
at Hicks Hall in St. John Street in and for the said County by
adjournment on Monday the fifth day of September inset at
nine of the clock in the forenoon of the same day and then and
there pray that the said Justices to be so assembled will allott,
appoint, and order such & so many of the several persons named
in a List (which hath been delivered to the Court of Sessions of
the peace for the County by the Surveyors of the highways in
the said Parish) to do their Statute Work in this Present
Year One thousand seven hundred & thirty seven upon the
highways in the said Parish leading to Highgate Gatehouse
and Hampstead in the said County directed by Act of
Parliament to be repaired as the Said Justices to be so
assembled as aforesaid or the major part of them shall think
fit, in such manner as by a late Act of Parliament in such
case made, is directed Dated the second day of September
1737 .
