At the General Session of the peace of our Sovereign Lord the
King holden for the County of Middlesex at Hicks Hall in St. John
Street in the County aforesaid by adjornment on Thursday the
tenth day of May in the Sixth year of the Reign of our Sovereign
Lord George the Second King of Great Britain France and Ireland
Defender of the Faith.

It is Ordered by this Court that as soon as conveniently may be
after That his Majesty Shall have constituted a Lord cheif Justice
of his Court of Kings Bench the Clerk of the peace of this County
doe attend his Lordship and also the Lord cheif Justice of the
Court of Comon Pleas and the Lord cheif Baron of the Court
of Exchequer on the part of his Maties Justices of the peace of
this County, And desire that their Lordships would be pleased
to appoint a time & place to be attended by three or more of
his Maties Justices of the peace of this County to Settle and
ascertain the fees to be taken by the Goalers or Keepers of the
prisons in this County (to Witt) The Prison belonging to the
Liberty of the Dean & Chapter of the Collegiat Church of St.
Peter Westminster commonly called the Gatehouse Prison
Westminster , The Prison belonging to the Court of Record
held within the Mannors of Stepney & Hackney commonly
called Whitechappell Prison, The Prison under the Lord of the
Liberty and Mannor of Stepney, and the Prison belonging to
the Royalty of the Tower of London, pursuant to a late Act
of Parliament, Intituled, An Act for the releif of Debtors with
respect to the imprisonment of their persons, And the said
Clerk of the peace is hereby directed at the same time to
acquaint their Lordships (as the Reason of This application)
that the right honble. the late Lord Raymond Lord cheif
Justice of his Maties Court of Kings Bench, the right honble.
Sr. Robert Eyre< no role > Knt. Lord cheif Justice of the Court of Comon
Pleas & Sr. Thomas Pengelly< no role > Knt. late Lord cheif Baron of the
Court of Exchequer together with William Cowper< no role > Robert
Thornhill
< no role > & John Milner< no role > Esqrs. three of his Maties Justices of
the peace of this County did (on their being attended by the
Keepers of the said Prisons) Settle & ascertain a Table of fees
to be taken by the Keepers of the said respective Prisons in
civil actions, And that the said two Lord cheif Justices & three
Justices of the peace Signed one table of fees for each of the
Said Prisons, But that the Lord cheife Baron goeing the
