That your Petitioner was bound Apprentice to one Robert Swift< no role >
in Redly on Street
in the
Parish of St. George the Martyrs
in the County of Middlesex
about the Eighteenth
day of September 1729
to learn the Art and mistery of a Perriwegg maker for the Terme
of Seven years by virtue of a certain writing purportsing to be an Indre of Apprenticeship
between your Petitioner and the sd. Robert Swift< no role >
and your Petitioner Served the sd Swift as
his apprentice
for about 15 Months and behaved himselfe as a faithfull & honest Apprentice
That your Petitioners Father Wm. Maney< no role >
since deceased paid to the Sd Robt Swift
Fifteen Guineas in Consideracon of Such Apprenticeship Soon after whose decease the sd Robert
Swift< no role >
without any Just Cause turned your Petitioner out of Doors and left your Petitioner to
Shift for himselfe without any Support by his Sd Mar
That your petitioner hath lately discovered that the Sd writing by which your Petitioner
was bound to the said Robert Swift< no role >
is not Indented not Stampt neither hath the sd Robert
Swift< no role >
paid any Duty to his Majesty for such Consideration money afore sd. According to the
Statute in that Case medeand Provided whereby your Petitioner is advised that the said
Writing is become Veyd and that your Petitioner ought to be discharged from his said
Apprenticeship
Wherefore your Petitioner humbly prays your Worships will
be Pleased to take this Case into Consideration and grant an Order
that your Petitioner may be discharged from his said
Apprenticeship
And your Petitioner shall ever Pray Etc
